Midsummer 2014

About Midsummer, which we call 'Juhannus' in Finnish. It has already been some weeks since this celebration, which is always somewhere in June. It's basically about the longest day and the shortest night. It's very light during the whole day and night, in the northern Finland the sun doesn't even set.

This year the weather wasn't that good as it was raining most of the time, as it had been doing for almost the whole June! We got to see the sun a bit as well, which we enjoyed to the fullest even though it was still cold outside.

As every year, my family, some relatives and I spent Midsummer at a summer cottage. We had lots of fun: swimming, taking a sauna, barbecuing, having a bonfire and simply talking/laughing with each other.

Rest of this post shall be all about pictures! :)

On the way back home, we stopped at granny's place, where I, once again, took lots of pictures of her flowers. :)
